the photos for this weeks stephen shore Blog were based on my recent work . I have been trying to find this unity in my color work . So these images I feel most closely relate to . starting with the top photograph of the building . I found myself drawn to it because of the scale of the building the it towers above everything else yet still feel common place . the moving to the next photo the car is a little reminiscent to mine yet not the right balance . but still works well .. then the last image is in my opinion balance of this idea i have been chasing . but mine seems to be lacking the mood the feeling i get from this photo and all of stephen shore's photos are fare more then what i have yet to create .. but i shall keep trying .

The starn Twins.

I chose this photograph because of the muted colors the beauty in its simplicity and the shape of the figures frame the well. The reality and imperfection of the room adds the pure nature of the photograph .
the soft warm mood of the photograph Is another reason why Im drawn do it .
just a simple but successful composition .

Sally Mann .

The mood of the photo is soft and almost uncomfortable .
the children seem alive and in a real moment . Feels almost as if Im there
a huge fan of this photo. I try in a lot of my work to express something about how i feel an
this seems to get at something . a point in life where its relaxed and stress free .

Paul Grham

Paul Grham has a way with a photograph to make you feel a connection to the people in them. The`re is this overwhelming simplicity that he brings an importance to forces you to care about the people the way he captures these mundane moments is remarkable and uniquely photographic in its composition. Im drawn to his work also because in my work lately I have been interested in photographing strangers and the relationship that we share through my photographs . inspired .

Robert frank .

                                                                 Victor j. Palagano

This photo is a good example of the type of thing im going in my work now .. the moment in with the subject is rendered in such a way that is random but seemingly intentional the motion that is held in the photograph forces you to see it a decisive moment . Im drawn to it because the man in the photo may not know he is this photo is based more on the idea of him being in a hurry .

Robert Frank.

A great example of a photograph that expresses a message while creating a beautiful and well composed solution
Robert Frank's The Americans helps describes the mood and the realization of the country at that time. Leaving only one question "was it really like that ?"

The simplicity is the most important factor in this photo so complete in its approach and the color
Is a beautiful tone and controlled well . a feeling of still but with the idea of a frozen moment . I think one reason I might be drawn to this Photograph is because of the balance how the vertical of the men echo the trees .
uta Barth .

Uta photographs what i see but cant explain this photo I have seen in my home and church and bathroom  and all of these other places but have never been abel to capture with the same feeling that  get when Im there . however when she does it I believe it and Im taken to that place . the way the light moves across the photo is real and the small bit of the top of the couch is ok and understood because of the amount you know thats a place we can and she just chose to make a beautiful photograph with it. the perfect example  of the sense of urgency .

The one thing that attracted me to this photograph was the light . Its beautiful the color takes me to a magical place . The way the hair moves also adds to the nostalgia of the image . the way the two figures are captured is breathtaking , emotional and powerful Im glad i stumbled upon It because I have been tryN to find a way to make color work for me and this Is a way i have yet to see . using color as a tool to a dreamlike place .

Steve McCurry

The reality of living with pets is that they are almost helpless against things that happen they depend on us the human to be there for them . I chose this photo because steve McCurry is most known for the photo of the girl with the green eyes and this isn't that but captures the same urgency .
